Brief history of our town
Administrative unit of the Diamaré department, the district municipality of Maroua III has Douggoi as its capital. The name of this unit comes from the division of the urban municipality of Maroua into three district municipalities, in particular by decree no. 2007/117 of April 24, 2007

2013-2019
The First Mayor
Boubakari Mello was the first mayor of the commune of Maroua III. He was accompanied by several assistants such as Amidou Hamadou, Ousmanou and a secretary Mrs. Aïssatou.
Maroua III est une commune d’arrondissement de la communauté urbaine de Maroua, située dans le département du Diamaré, en région de l’Extrême-Nord au Cameroun.
